Here is the third and final part of my big translation project. This was a special challenge for me; I attempted to translate the lyrics in a way that was both accurate, and singable with the original music. I got close to the goal, but unfortunately, if you actually sang my translation, there would be accents in some very strange places! I’ve posted the translation notes again, and if you’re a Japanese nerd like me, I think you might find them interesting. If not, take a look at the translation.
Song: Deception (Japanese title: 瞞し)
Here is another translation, and the second in a series done for a translation seminar. This time is a song from MERRY (formerly メリー), a band that has recently announced they will be going in a very new direction. Waiting on pins and needles to find out what this means definitely puts me in the mood for a MERRY song I already know and love.
